Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge - Project #3

Sketch #383

Welcome Back- long time no see!  LOL.  This is my third and final project for Sketch # 383 (Promise!).  Remember, this is the sketch-

This time, I pictured a layout.  I used the Bloom with Grace paper pack (with sticker sheet), BwG wooden embellishments, some 'contraband' ribbon, the Sept SOTM, Espresso cardstock and images stamped and die cut from Joyful Sunflower (Z3740/ D1932), and coloured with a variety of Triblend markers.  On the second page of the layout, I've also used some of the Woodgrain paper for the fence.
Here it is!-
And the 2nd page-
(I did 3D some of the flowers and the fence, for a little dimension)

And together:
I left the very top open for a title.

Disclaimer:  I will be cross-posting these projects for the following Blog hops- the Cross Canada Blog Hop (featuring Bloom with Grace), Melinda Everitt's CTMH SOTM Blog hop (Sept) and her September/October and Core New Product Blog hop.

Thank you for coming and checking out all my Bloom with Grace projects;  I hope you liked them and that they may have inspired you to Get Crafty!!  Don't forget to check out all the amazing projects by the other talented bloggers.  And check back next week for my take on Sketch # 384.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge- Project #2

Sketch # 383
Spoiler Alert!- New Product

Welcome Back!  This is my second project using this week's Sketch.  This is what the sketch looks like:

Having made my first project, I decided to use this sketch to make a set of cards.  So, using half a paper pack (3 sheets) and adding some cardstock- I used 3 sheets of the coordinating colours and some White, for stamping, I ended up with 12 cards, none of them exactly the same.  I mixed and matched til I was happy with it and then I added some small sentiments (all stamped in Espresso), some BwG wooden elements, a few retired embellishments and some images stamped and die cut from With a Thankful Heart (Z3775/ C1866).  Notice I did use cardstock as a full-sized mat for the base for my cards, but it's not necessary;  you can use the white card base just fine (I did in 1 of the cards).  This would mean using less added cardstock in the overall equation.
   Here they are:

I used all paper and cardstock but you could easily use ribbon or fibre for that thin element above the sentiment- burlap twine would look great!  I'm sure with a little fiddling, you could get several more cards using the same materials.  I didn't (but maybe I will!) add a little sparkle with a clear Shimmer brush or maybe one in Lemonade!  There's just sooo many possibilities to play with!!
I hope you enjoyed my second project using this week's Sketch # 383.  Don't forget to check out all the lovely artwork!  See you again SOON!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge- New Product Spoiler!

Sketch # 383

So, apparently I really LOVE CTMH's yet-to-be-released paper pack- Bloom with Grace;  I can't seem to stop creating with it!
This week I've created 3 items for you but this post will deal with the first only (check out the others!).  This is the sketch we were given to work with:

This is my take on it:

I used the Bloom With Grace designer papers, as well as the BwG PML cards, the BwG Sticker sheet (for the sentiment) and some loooong-retired CTMH ribbon and gold gem embellishments.  Then I prettied up the envelope with a sunflower from Sunflower Sympathy (Stamp and Thin Cuts- Z3544), stamped with Canary and second generation Espresso ink.

I hope you like it!  Don't forget to check out all the pretty projects  and to return next week for the next Sketch Challenge!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

{ATTN- New Product Spoiler Alert!!}
Sketch #382

I'm multi-tasking this week!  For this week's challenge, I decided not to make a card, so instead I made a 2 page scrapbook layout.  This layout will be submitted as part of 4 different blog hops- this one, Melinda Everitt's CTMH SOTM Blog Hop- Sept, the September/October New Product Blog Hop and also for the Cross Canada Blog Hop for Sept.  Other than this challenge, I will be submitting this project as part of a greater piece for the other hops.  Keep those peepers peeled for multi release dates.
The sketch for this week is:

When I saw this I thought it would look great using the New Bloom with Grace ppk from the New Seasonal Catalogue to be released Sept 1st.  I've also used papers from the new Woodgrain ppk as well as new colours of cardstock. My take on this looks like this:

And because I work mainly with 2 page layouts, that became this:

I hope you like my project and please remember to stop by and checkout all the participants to see their take on this week's sketch!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Sketch #381
Hello and welcome to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #381.  This week we're working with this sketch:

Using Sketch #381, I've made a card with CTMH's Budding Peony (D1883/ Z4264) and Treasured Memories (D1933) stamps, along with the Sugar Plum Shimmer Brush, Ariana paper pack and Fundamentals Embossed cardstock in Ruby (I think).  To Colour the peony bud, I used the Antique Pink and Dull Green TriBlend markers and then added a top layer of SugarPlum shimmer.  Here is my take on this sketch;  I hope you like it.

Don't forget to visit all the participants and to check back next week for the next Sketch Challenge!

Sketch #381

This is my second card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge using Sketch #381.  This card uses the Aurora paper pack and sticker sheet, as well as the Acrylic shapes.  I stamped the sentiment from D1854- Never Give Up in Pewter ink.  All products are CTMH unless otherwise specified.  The sentiment is on 3-D tape to give a little dimension.  Overall, I tried to keep it monochromatic with the pop of colour coming only from the embellishments.  Hope you like it!

Sketch #381

Hi again, this is my third and final entry to the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #381.  This card also features products from the Aurora line (paper pack, sticker sheet and acrylic shapes).  I trimmed the original arrow to fit the sketch.  The sentiment is from C1840/Z3713- Aurora cardmaking stamp and is stamped in Sapphire ink.  All products are from Close To My Heart, unless specified otherwise.  I hope you like it!

Cross Canada Blog Hop- Timber!

Welcome to another round of the Cross Canada Blog Hop.  This month we're featuring all things Timber!  If you haven't started with me then you should have come to me from Colleen .
When pandemic restrictions were lessened and they were finally able to, my DH and Offspring planned a camping trip for late August (so no pictures yet).  This inspired me to go WAAAAY out of my comfort zone and design a mini-book just for this trip.  So I designed an 8x6 book of 14 pages, then it grew to 18 and then 20, and then I decided to add divided page protectors and use up some of the PML cards (tho I haven't included pictures of those) .  I don't really scrapbook at anything smaller than 12x12 so this was a double challenge for me.  I used 1 paperpack  with sticker sheet, the coordinating cardstock pack, the PML cards and the Coordinating Die Cuts.
  (sorry, it's LONG):
Front Page

Back Page

So, due to my on-going argument with Blogger, these are my mini-book pages, in no particular order, except for the Front and Back Pages.  These 2 pages will also have pictures- on the Front page, a small photo gets offset with the plaid Mountain card and tucked under the Moose card (probably a 3x2).  While the Back page will take a 6x4 nicely tucked up next to the blue strip.  I made allowances on the Bear and Wolf pages to be able to tuck my photos under those die cuts, simply by using a little 3-D tape.  I think I will add the white border to my photos this time (I usually don't).  I have written the suggested sizes on the pages.  Also, I embossed the top and bottom of the black base pages for the Stars layout set, using the Wilderness Embossing folders and highlighted the stars by going over them with a white pen.  After I have added my pictures, I will go back and finish embellishing my pages with the rest of the Timber Die cuts.  I hope my boyz will love this gift when they get to see it.

Well, that's it for me.  Don't forget, this is a 'Hop in the Round', meaning if you visit everyone you will end up back where you began.  If you get lost, just go back to Michelle's blog to start over.  From here, you're off to visit Brae .  I hope you enjoy the Hop and will return next month this time, when we will feature a paperpack from either the NEW and Yet to be Released Sept/ Oct Seasonal or the 2019-20 Annual Catalogues.  Happy Hopping!!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Sketch #380

Welcome to another week of Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  This week we're following Sketch #380.  My card features a flower image from CTMH D1925- A Million Little Things and a sentiment from CTMH D1629- Just to Say.  The sentiment is matted on the 'b-side' of Smoothie cardstock.  The flower is matted on Canary cardstock.  Both designer papers are from CTMH's Kaleidoscope paperpack.  The green base piece has been run through my die cutter/ embossing machine, using a CTMH embossing folder (roses).  The flower was coloured using TriBlend markers in Dull Green and Hydrangea.  I hope you like it.  Please check out what each participant has made.  And don't forget to check back for next week's challenge!
