Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Sketch # 379- Entry #2, Spruced Up

Hello again, this is my second entry into this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge # 379.  For this card I used the retired Spruced Up paper pack, along with the Spruced Up cardmaking stamp/ Thin Cut set, as well as Tender Thoughts (B1707).  I used a variety of Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers to colour both the cardinal and the pine bow.  To finish it off, I added a little jute twine.  Here it is:

As you can see there's lots of layering and dimension going on, for added visual texture.

I hoped you liked my little chickadee card and that you hop along with the other Atlantic Hearts ladies.  Don't forget, you can see them here .

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Sketch #379-  1st Entry

Hey there, like last week, I'm hopping along with the gals at Atlantic Hearts, to the tune of Sketch #379.  This week I used the retired CTMH paper pack- True Love and My Acrylix stamp set- Time to Celebrate (S2005) to make this card. I have a niece who is getting married and I made her a mini book with this ppk and so decided to make her and her fiance a card with it also.
I hope you enjoy it and check out the other offerings by the AHSC group!  Here's their link:      http://atlanticheartschallenge.blogspot.com/  .

              Here's the Sketch.
And here's my card.  I added a little sparkle w a clear shimmer brush, just over the diamond.

I hope you liked it!  Don't forget to check out the entries by the other ladies at the Atlantic Hearts!

Cross Canada Blog Hop- Summer Vibes

          Cross Canada Blog Hop-
   July-
Summer Vibes

Welcome to another round of the Cross Canada Blog Hop.  This month we're featuring the first paperpack from the New July/ August catalogue- Summer Vibes.  The designs bring to mind days playing and picnicing in the sand, on a tropical beach.  Some of the images included in the pack are flamingos, the sun, tropical flowers and leaves, sunglasses, palm trees, blue waves, surfboards, ice cream cones and other treats, watermelon, flipflops and those little tropical drinks with the umbrellas in them  (LOL).  Altogether a very fun paperpack!!

In my first card, I used the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set (A1251) and the sentiment was from B1713- Always Loved (including the inside sentiment).  I stamped the flamingo using Intense Black ink on White Daisy cardstock and then used a variety of Tri-Blend markers to colour Mr. Flamingo.  The card design includes papers from the paperpack (X7258S), the Picture My Life cards (X7258D), the Mix-in pack (X9017) and Smoothie cardstock.  I embellished with star stickers and the sun sticker (trimmed) from the Sticker sheet.  I 'popped' the sentiment (stamped in Lagoon and fussy-cut) with 3-D tape.  The inside sentiment was also stamped with Intense Black ink and then I applied a Lagoon wash (with a waterpen) and embellished with a heart sticker from the sticker sheet.

For my second card, I used the red gingham paper, with the Zip strip attached, for the base of my card.  I tucked the same green leaf PML card that I used above ( I ribbon cut the ends) behind a piece of Glacier cardstock.  I just had to include the PML card with the ants on it- too cute!!  The sentiment is from the Summer Vibes Card kit- G1209 (stamped in Intense Black and die cut) and is popped on 3-D tape.  I debated using the watermelon stamp and die from this kit but decided to include the watermelon stickers from the sticker sheet instead.  There is no sentiment inside (Yet!!) but I did include a piece of the watermelon Zip strip from the paperpack at the bottom.  A cute little card that looks summer cool!

You came to me from Colleen and from me, you're off to visit Brae .  This is a Hop 'in the round', meaning if you visit everyone then you'll end up where you started.  But should you get lost, go to Michelle's blog- my creations with michelle and she'll put you straight.  Have fun 'hopping' around and I hope we have inspired you to get crafty.  Please leave comments!  Cheers!!
