Apparently, I've been a little busy...

Here are a few more Christmas cards I've made recently.  After all the cards I designed for my card class, I wanted something a little different for my own card- giving.  So I did what all crafty people do- went to Pintrest!  There, I scrap- lifted 6 or 7 cards and sat down to make them.  Then I chose 2 finalists.  After that, I received a call to create a card class for a group of young ladies (11-14 yrs old), and it had to be fairly easy.  So I sat down again and came up with another 4 cards.  Here are a few pictures:

All 3 designs totally scraplifted from some very gifted people

Either end is mine but Santa card is someone else's design

mine:  think I'll bling the upper left corner

BTW- the finalists this year were- top row, middle and right.  I love the simplicity of the middle one but can't seem to translate or duplicate what I see;  I'm pleased with this.  The one on the right uses a stamp I've tried for years to incorporate into my stamping but have been at a loss wrt design.  I think this card- at least the original- is stunning.  That lady breaks the scene into 3 separate pcs and incorporates a sentiment too.  Check out my Pintrest, you'll find the originals there.

The girls will make my 3 designs plus another not shown.

Let Me Introduce You to- the NEW Seasonal Expressions Supplement!

This is the cover of the new Close to My Heart Seasonal Expressions supplement.  It's just jam- packed with great new products!  But you've got to move fast, it's only active for a short time.  Unlike our Annual Inspirations cattie which is active for a full year- Aug 1st 2014 to July 31st 2015- the Seasonal Expressions is active from only Dec 1st 2014 to March 31st 2015.  I have them now, so let me know if you want a copy!

Inside, you'll find new Hostess rewards stamps, 2 new paperpacks- Heartstrings and Hopscotch, 2 Workshops (1 scrapbooking and 1 cardmaking), new Cut Above Treat Bags, Embossing plates, Embellishments and lots of new stamp sets.  This cattie looks forward to Valentine's Day, Spring, Easter, Mother's day and so much more!

Along with all of this, with the release of the Seasonal Expressions selections, a pair of NEW Consultant kits have come into effect.  The new kits are based off of the Hopscotch paperpack- nice, bright Spring/ Summer colors for both the Scrapbooking and the Cardmaking Consultant kits.

If you like the Hopscotch kits and have been mulling over joining up with CTMH, you have only until the end of March to make your move!  As of April 1st, there will be another Seasonal Expressions supplement, with lots more goodies to crave, including new paperpacks. And one of these will become the basis of the next Consultant kits, which will change again Aug 1st 2015, with the release of the next Annual Inspirations cattie.

Here's a few teasers:

My Christmas Card class- Nov/ Dec 2014

Here are the pictures of my recent Christmas card class.  If you paid for the class and could not attend or finish, please find the directions on my Template/ Directions page.  Five were made with the Yuletide Carol Duo, 3 were made using the Snowhaven Duo, 1 used the retired Sparkle and Shine Duo and 2 were made using just cardstock.

My class also included the Cut Above Christmas and Holiday cards, as well as the 3 cards made from the Snowhaven Cardmaking Workshop.

  A quick overview:
In my classes, I provide all the pieces for the cards, pre-cut.  If there are any images to be stamped with Momento ink, I do it beforehand, so the ink is well- dried (BTW, 2 of the colored cards were stamped using just the normal water- based dye ink and there were no problems).  Some 'fussy- cutting' may be required.  Generally, my classes are 'stamp and stick'.  For this reason, I will not post the dimensions of the pieces, only the general steps to make the card from the pieces provided.  If you want a copy of my card class, I can provide you with dimensions for you to do the cutting at home or I can provide you with a kit to make the cards as shown.  The kit is $45, plus shipping (within reason).  The complete instructions, including cutting layouts, is $10 and can be emailed to you.

I hope you enjoy the cards!

Let Me Introduce You to -SnowHaven & Yuletide Carol

While you may not be ready to create your Christmas layouts (of this year ;) ), you're probably thinking about getting your beautifully handmade cards in the mail.  To help you in this, we have 2 lovely paperpacks to represent the coming Festive Season- SnowHaven and Yuletide Carol.

The Snowhaven papers are reminiscent of active winter days and evenings curled up in front of the fire wearing your warm Nordic sweaters and maybe drinking hot chocolate (maybe with a 'kick' in it?).  The featured colors are Daisy wht, Black, Cranberry (red) and Glacier (blue), with a little discrete Whisper (grey).  IMO, this is a great 'winter' paper, good for cards and layouts all season long.  I can just see picts of the kids on the sled or skating at the outdoor rink, or maybe all bundled up and bringing home the Christmas tree.
This pattern is available as a Paperpack (x7188b), Complements (x7188c), and an Assortment (z3008), and conveniently, also as a Cardmaking Workshop on the Go (WOTG/ G1085).

Our other festive pattern is Yuletide Carol and if you love vintage designs then you'll LOVE this paperpack!  The whole pack has that 'slightly distressed' look, whether it's the faded music sheet paper or the 'stockings hung by the fire' paper.  I REALLY love the versatility of this paper, there's so much to use in different ways, I just can't say enough about this ppk.  I really want to use this for layouts of when I was a kid, with my family, waaay back when, but I know I'll love using it for my own kids Christmas antics- Santa photos, decorating the tree, setting out Santa's milk and cookies, putting up the stockings, or Christmas morning chaos, all traditions in my house.

For me, this is the perfect 'Christmas' paper, bringing to mind all those traditions we all practice.  The featured colors are Colonial wht, black, New England Ivy, Ruby, Champagne and Desert Sand.  This pattern is available as a Paperpack (x7187b), Complements (x7187c), Assortment (z3007) and Scrapbooking Workshop (WOTG/ G1084).  Take a quick look at the following stamp sets- Christmas Post, Noel, Yuletide Greetings and Frosty Fun to complete those Christmas layouts and cards.

For picts of my own super cute Yuletide and SnowHaven cards check out this blog on Nov 20th when the Make It Crafty Seasonal blog hop goes live!

November News at CTMH- New Products NOW Available and Coming Soon!

Here's a few tidbits of information:

Five New Kits in Studio J
In conjunction with the November campaign- Lucky 5,  five more My Reflections kits from the Annual Inspirations idea book have been added to Studio J: Confetti Wishes, Snowhaven, Seaside, Pathfinding, and Scaredy Cat. These kits became available as of November 1. Please note that, unlike the other kits in Studio J, in order for these additions to take place at this time the 5 new kits will only be available without alphabet Stickease or the Quick-title tool.
A La Carte PML
The A la Carte Picture My Life™ scrapbooking programs became available for customer purchase  November 1st. What is 'a la carte pml?'- you can now purchase just the cards from the PML programs, ie, no opening page and no page protectors.  The cost for the A La Carte selections is $16.50 versus the $27.50 for the full PML programs.
New My Legacy™ albums will be available in both post-bound and D-ring options this month.  Both album types will be available in three different cover designs: Lagoon Chevron, Ruby Floral, and classic Black.  The cost of the new albums is $38.50.
** The  Lagoon Chevron, and both the Classic Black D-ring and post bound options are NOW available!  The posts have been improved- much easier to remove- no keeping a dime or screwdriver handy!
TWO NEW TOTES Both items have been designed exclusively for Close To My Heart and feature eye-catching patterns, inside and out.  The Rolling tote is Slate with a Lagoon Chevron pattern on the outside and polka dot inside.  I believe the Shoulder tote is Lagoon with a Slate bottom (but don't quote me on that).
-The Rolling Tote  has been built to store or transport one small, two medium, and one large hard-case organizer, which gives you plenty of room! The side zipper pockets feature interior mesh pockets and pouches to hold a variety of tools, from your Micro-tip scissors to your paper trimmer! The front zip pocket is the perfect size for 12" x 12" papers. The tote measures  (outside dimensions, including the wheels and feet) 25" × 16 " × 17" with an expandable handle that extends 16¼" above the top of the bag. Also, The center section can be unzipped to give you access to organizers at the bottom of the bag without making you dig. Snaps keep zippers securely in place so that the tote does not accidentally open in transit.  And, the tote is shipped flat, which means it can be Stored flat when not in use!  The price for the rolling tote will be $164.95.  What a great item to get 1/2 price!  Or maybe ask Santa for?
-The Shoulder Tote is a multi-purpose companion product, with reinforced straps to keep your shoulder comfortable and a deep gusset for holding all your projects in progress. The shoulder tote measures 17" × 15" × 3", not including the handles. The handles have a 10½" drop.  It will cost $29.75.
Both the Rolling and Shoulder totes are expected to become available during November, but as of this evening- Nov 6th- they are not.  I will not be taking advance orders for them but will keep you informed when they become available!
Finally, new items have been added to the 'While Supplies Last' section of my website.  So, if you're needing more Stickease for Ariana or Ivy Lane, or you've been wanting a My Creations Cubby (remember the Advent Calendar kit a few years ago?), or a few other items, please have a look and don't wait to order because when these are gone, they're gone!  Please remember that all Shipping/ Handling charges are based on the original retail price but taxes are calculated on actual price.

Cheers!
